Twins fans - your reason why the Twins lost the series?

This will tell who are baseball fans and who think they are. Reason #1 - could not drive in baserunners. Forget blown calls, baserunning blunders, homers - if the Twins could actually get some of those runners across the plate, we would not be talking Angels-Yankees right now!

Update:

EMC - frankly, we are in agreement - you just state it differently. Yankees executed, Twins didn't.

I'm a yankees fan but i'm going to answer your question anyway. =]

The yankees won because they played better. They had dominant pitching (the Twins did too for that last two games, but not as good as the yankees). The yankees had smart, heads up plays. Smart baserunning. And they got big hits when they needed to.

    just stating the truth.

Goodbye metrodome: i'm going to add onto your list of yankees players that aren't from other teams. ....melky cabrera, jorge posada, mariano rivera, brett gardner, phil hughes, joba chamberlain, david robertson...

    No Execution.

Shitty umpire on Mauers double took away a run.

    Runners left on base.

    Pitching wasn't great.

My big thing is that the yankees are on roids probably. A rod already adimitted he took them. who's to say other yankees are playing clean??

My main question for you though is should there be a salary cap? Yankees are all overpaid people who came form other teams (other than Jeter and Cano)

    yankees fan :)

but the twins were pitching great in the series, it was just the offense

the twns were missing their scond baseman, justin mornearu, jason kubel ws not hitting and striking out alot, delmon young only had one hit the whole series, also their base running mistakes cost them games, like nick punto rounding third, carlos gomez slipping.

the umps were all making mistakes when the yankees were up at bat and when the twins were batting.

Totally agreed. The Yankees did not win those games - the Twins lost them. Sadly, that was the story for the Rays for a good part of the year, so I've gotten used to it. But take pride in knowing that your team really did stand a chance against "the best team in baseball *gag*" There's always next year!

Even though I'm not a Twins fan, I agree with you. They could not score runs. Take game 2. The bases were loaded with NO outs, and they couldn't score anyone

The only reason the Twins lost is because they were over matched. And the only reason the Yankees one is because they have a great team, on an even greater payroll.

Yeah, game 2 we left runners on each of the eleven innings. You have to execute!

what is this sore loser fan day or something?

the yankees outscored the twins 15-6 in the entire series. Yankees won the game, none of bs "twins lost it for them"
