Hit my head earlier today, now I have a slight headache?

Ok, this kind of thing doesn't usually happen but, I was sitting next to someone, me, this dude, and a group of girls. I ended up pissing him off and got thrown into the chairs behind me. Hit the base of my head, top of the neck, on the muscle (pretty sure it was the muscle). I feel pissed enough something like this happened to me, but I'm worried that I might have gotten a concussion or something, should I be worried? I'm not dizzy, I remembered where I was, the date, our current president, my name, and my age, date of birth, etc right after it happened (some other friends took care of the dude for me) and I'm not really dizzy or nauseous. It's just a slight headache at the base of my head, top of my neck. Please help. Also remember the thing I hit my head on was plastic connected to metal about 7'' lower, head never touched the metal.

Update:

It feels better today, there was only a headache. I feel great now and took care of the guy lol thank you guys.

any blow to the head should be treated with caution, only a doctor can really help you with this. at least your not dizzy or nauseous and I'm guessing your vision is ok. you probably just have some bruising but you should never be blase about head injuries. internal bleeding is a very serious inside the skull.

head injuries like this are caused by the brain hitting the inside of the skull and stopping quickly so a headache is the minimum result of a blow to the head. if you've seen a brain you will know that they are soft and squishy.

Its ok. I hit my head on a (glass) table and it hurted badly but the next day it was fine, just a little bump.

that sounds pain full i think you will be fine, you did not hit the metal!but get it checked out cause it might not cause damage now but could in the future.or 2 (if you're neck is sore you might have jared it?)
