How do I keep trying with bfn after bfn?

Today is 14dpiui and I of course got another BFN. My temp this morning was 98.7 so I was stupidly hopeful...but I guess AF is just coming tomorrow.

The IUI didn't work and I can't help but feel I was right about them doing it too early. Next cycle I'm using digital opks so there is no doubt about whether it's a positive or not.

I'm so tired and sad right now...I didn't think it had worked from day 1dpiui so I'm not really surprised...just fed up of this crap. Where do you find the strength to get through each month? I'm on month 19 now and I can't imagine making it past the 2 year mark without having a total mental breakdown.

It doesn't help that our best friends are about to have their first any minute now and they started ttc 8 months after we did....The day the told us I begged to be pregnant before she gave birth :(

Update:

thank you malt_soda

Update 2:

hey Sick of ttc,

The doc gave me a prescription for three months of 100mg of clomid...i won't see him again until after that :(

I'm so sorry that you have to be sad now...it's just so unfair...all of this difficulty ttc is unfair!

Update 3:

thank you Amber

That is pretty much the process at my clinic...except I took clomid day 3-7 and no u/s on day 3 only the first one on day 14 and so on until they say to trigger....but since I got a positive OPK on the same night at the CD14 u/s I never got to trigger...we just did the IUI the next morning on CD 15...I normally ovulate on day 16 or later so I've been worried I read the opk wrong since the two lines were sooo close in color :( Digital opks all the way this cycle!

I'm so sorry that you are going through this. It is so frustrating and heart breaking. My husband and I tried for years to get pregnant and after about a millions tests, lots of heartbreak & two different fertility doctors, we were finally able to conceive via IUI. The fertility doctor that helped us get pregnant was so thorough that it made me question if the first doc we went to even knew what he was doing...so don't be afraid to go elsewhere if you don't feel that you are receiving enough involvement. My process was call the office on Day One of PD...Day three Ultrasound to make sure everything looked clear...Clomid on days 5-9...Ultrasound on Days 12 to check for follicles (and successive days if they didn't look ready)...Ovidrel injection around Day 15 with intercourse that night...two days later IUI. I realize that each doctor has his own process, but I just wanted to give you an idea of the process I went through.

Just keep your faith that it will happen...I know it is difficult. It seems like everyone around you gets pregnant so easily and you wonder what is wrong with you. I pray that you will have success and that you will soon be blessed with a baby. Best of Luck to you!!

I'm really sorry hun. Maybe you should try injectables next time since it does give you a better chance. I would also ask about doing 2 iui's back to back (one at 12 hours after ovidrel and one 24-36 hours after ovidrel). Word to the wise though, if you do injectables don't do the IUI if you have more than 3 mature follicles, 4 at the most. I had 6-8 and I am now pregnant with quads as you know. I have to consider selective reduction which for me has been harder to deal with than not being able to get pregnant. I am having a hard time staying positive about this pregnancy.

I know you will get pregnant soon but maybe just step it up a little with the meds. They should use a low dose because they can always increase it as they monitor you by u/s.

Best of luck and keep your chin up. It will happen. :)

Wow, you have great potential of recommendations. individually, I examined another day from 6 dpo, and finally have been given my BPF at 10 dpo. i'm only too excitable and in touch to attend. i could no longer sleep at night, it became undesirable! I wasn't even late yet. I went for a blood attempt at 11 dpo to verify. that's my month, and that i'm hoping that's yours too! sturdy success!!!
