Is it true that if you enter your bank pin number backwards.....?

I heard that if you give your number backwards (in the case of a robbery) and they enter it it will automatically alert the police, is this true.

I'm in the UK by the way.

False. This is an urban legend that has been circulating for almost 15 years since the idea was first proposed. To date this has not been implemented by any banking system.

This has been going the rounds for years and its a lot of tosh. If you think seriously about it common sense tells you it couldn't work.
