I have a 6 year old cat, last week she quit eating, took her to the vet, he gave her something to sooth her?
stomach, didn't help, she is drinking water and eating some food now, but throws it all up, along with yellow stomach juices I was wondering if it could be a hairball caught somewhere? I called in to the vet today, but was told that she can't be seen until Monday. Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated, thanks !!!

Make another appointment with your veterinarian as soon as possible for X-rays for your cat, a thorough exam, a full blood work on your cat. If X-ray doesn't show anything, suggest that he do a ultra sound on your cat. It won't harm him and would show up much better if there were something wrong. Maybe your cat has kidney problems, but at such a young age, I am not sure, discuss changing diet, maybe there is a toxic ingredient in cat food, also look for ingredient's wheat gluten and soy protein in your cat's food. If you remember the news, cats were getting sick and died from wheat gluten that was contaminated with melamine. Very important,don't give any cat food with either wheat gluten or soy protein, symptoms sound similar. Try a natural brand cat food from the supermarket called "Harmony", small cans, chicken flavor, and also turkey and chicken flavor combined in one can. My cats that I adopted from a shelter love it.Tell your vet about the symptoms and your concern about tainted cat food with wheat gluten and/or soy protein. This is very important and It might save your cats life. Keep me posted on your cat's health. Good luck.
