My cat being sick after just water?

Anyone have any suggestions as to why this is happening.

She is a longhair, 9 years old normally good health, she doesn't go out much and for the last 4 days has been off her food. tried lots if different things but she is just not interested. She has just been lying on the bed for past 3 days and nights, has nothing coming from eyes or nose or rear end so I don't think it's flu. Tonight she seemed really thirsty and had a good drink of water but it came straight back up. She does gets furrballs from time to time and usually deals with them easily by coughing them up quickly and then she's fine but this time it seems a little different. There have been no changes in LifeStyle food or furniture being moved.

I intend to get here down the vets in the morning as I am getting worried but just wanted to know if anyone has any suggestions. Thanks.

Best to get her checked out at the vet but at 9 years old cats often struggle to bring up fur-balls as they get a little older so it could be that's whats happening to her,

my cat went through it at the same age and she too was long haired and couldn't bring them up herself so i had to get a paste from the vet, and before then she had always coughed them up with no bother,

and she too would go sick after water so i swapped her on to bottled water as chlorine in the tap water can cause upset stomachs in cats especially older ones,so it could well be the fur-balls upsetting her stomach and she may need a special paste off the vet.

maybe she has eaten something that she shouldnt of, like a toy of a bit of material or somthing.

if you are really worried you could contact the emergency vet, but is kinda expensive, i think its about £100 just to be seen

yes kitty needs to see the vet in the morning.

overnight monitor her for changes. please withhold food and water until you see the vet.

I think most normal kitty illness can resolve itself in a few days. However, your kitty is at least dehydrated by now, and needs medical support.

    good luck and peace
