Why am I always hungry now?

I used to be very active but then a knee injury killed me from sports and mountain biking.

Recently I started working out to lose the very small amount of fat that I have built over 3 years of less activity.... now I'm in better shape than ever.

I've lost the little paunch i had but my hunger has been sky rocketing over the last couple weeks.

I am gaining significant definition all over following the workout program. I'm eating healthy foods.

I've been eating over 4000 calories in a day! and I'm still hungry. I drink tons of water, and milk, very little pop. I eat fast food on occasion. The majority of my meals are red meat, pork, or egg as the main part, always with grains and vegtables in large amounts.

I do not take any supplements just a daily vitamin, always have.

To put in it perspective, today I ate:

a 6 egg ham/onion/ cheese omelet with peanut butter on toast, and hour later a WHOLE BAG(750g) of noodles with cheese, and about 500ml of milk to drink. then for lunch a whole large pizza with almost everything on it. then for a snack a double big mac. Then my supper was a 1lb steak, with corn on the cob and garlic potatoes, and raw green onions. Throughout the day I always have a glass/ bottle of water in my hand. I also snacked on a large bag of grapes, and strawberry's.

I'm still losing fat and majorly packing on muscle but this is getting me worried that I am always this hungry!

Update:

I'm going to say I don't eat out of boredem, My stomach is growling a short time after I eat.

as far as too little fat in my diet i wouldnt say that is true either, the eggs, pizza and steaks i don't think I would call low in fat.

I realize noodles and rice are digested quickly but I eat them just for the energy before the workout.

On average, people eating reasonable portions of balanced meals get

hungry about every three to five hours. Check the balance of foods you

eat. Refined carbohydrates like white rice, baked goods and most

crackers or pretzels are processed by the body fairly quickly. That

means that blood sugars go up and back down rapidly, tending to leave

you hungry again within two hours. Whole-grain breads and cereals are

processed more slowly and may leave you satisfied longer.

Studies show that hunger is satisfied longer when a meal or snack

includes a small amount of protein. That doesn't have to mean meat.

Protein is also found in milk, cheese, yogurt, tofu and other soy

products, eggs, nuts, seeds and dried beans.

Also, vegetables and fruits are missing from many Americans' meals,

yet they provide bulk that can help satisfy hunger.

Have you let a low fat diet get too low in fat? Fat leaves the stomach

very slowly, so a small amount of fat in a meal keeps hunger

satisfied. If your goal is weight loss, excess hunger could be a sign

that you've cut your calories too low or that you are pushing to reach

a weight that is too low for you.

Finally, consider this: Are you actually physically hungry all the

time, or do you simply feel like eating? Eating when you're not hungry

can mean that eating has become a habit for coping with boredom,

procrastination or stress. If this is the case for you, the key is to

develop ways to handle these situations without food.

If you address all these possibilities and still feel hungry all the

time, talk with your physician. Constant hunger not related to any of

these factors could be due to medication or a medical problem that

    needs attention.

that is a question to invite a doctor. it is various issues, beginning from a ingesting disease, to a severe metabolism. I go through the comparable component, besides, despite the fact that mine isn't an ingesting disease. some distance from it, definitely. I in simple terms have a severe metabolism, and it exhibits. On common, i will consume 5 to seven nutrition (no longer snacks) an afternoon. The worst area approximately this? i do no longer income an oz. as quickly as I consume. I blame it on the tape trojan horse (He does not exist, yet its humorous to observe human beings's reactions to the assertion). i will consume everywhere from one to 3 pounds of nutrition, in line with sitting, and slightly income any weight, in any respect. I even have different verify-ups, each and in line with annum, and that i'm healthful as may well be. the certainty is, definitely everyone seems to be diverse. there's no "set nutrition quantity" a man or woman ought to consume. How huge are you? while you're tall, or in simple terms of course hefty, you will consume extra to maintain your physique form. If this may well be a undertaking, as I pronounced, in simple terms talk including your surgeon approximately it. i'm helpful they'll grant you an answer, if something. in case you in simple terms have a healthful urge for nutrition, I recommend determining to purchase non-call variety nutrition products.... or getting a 2nd activity. :P

I feel "hungry" all the time simply because snacks are within arm's reach. I've simply... stopped buying snacks. :) And it's helped.
