Has any of you heard of the new form of PMS?

Question

It mostly strikes men but it has been known to get to women as well making it twice as bad.

 This new form of PMS is known as Parked Motorcycle Syndrome. It's when you have to put you bike away for the winter. 

 (Yes I know you can ride in the cold but road salt does a really bad number on metal parts.)

I managed to avoid it for the past three winters.

We got 35cm (14 inches) of snow this week. 

The law around here makes it impossible to ride between Dec 15 and March 15, regardless of road conditions. Between these dates, all vehicles must be equipped with certified winter tires and, stupidly, motorcycles are not exempt despite the fact that there is no such thing as a motorcycle winter tire and despite the fact that other vehicles for which winter tires don't exist are exempt.  Stupid lawmakers.

So, yes, I've got a bad case of PMS.

After a few years ( early '70's ) of not having a car and only the Triumph Trident for transportation, I was quite happy to contract this form of PMS. I ain't as young and tough as I used to be, so I can deal with it for a couple o' months. The disease isn't quite so bad, or long lasting,  here in North Carolina as it is in some other states.
