Computer isn't responding at all.?
I set my computer back to factory setting but when it turned back on a message saying windows unable to start because regitry could not be updated. I stupidly played around with some settings and now it's telling me to insert system disk. i dont have any kind of disk and have really no idea how to fix it. Can anyone help?

borrow one from a friend if possible. If you messed with settings in your BIOS then you can open your computer and pop out the battery from your motherboard for a few minutes (looks like a watch battery) which will reset your bios. Just make sure the system is off, unplugged is even better.

Hmmm, the operative words there are "I stupidly played around with some settings " but then you know that already.
You will need a recovery disc of or an original disc to reload windows.

try holding down f8 to start the computer. Or if it says system disk, take out the hard drive when the computer is on and put it back.
hope this helps

if it says put in a system disk then you would have to have a recovery disk or your operating system disk
