what should i cook with fennel?
i picked up a fennel root 2day & i'm not sure what to cook w/it. i figure i'll make rice & chick peas or lentils, but what veggies go well w/it in a stir fry type dish?

I do a chicken dish which includes cooking chicken off bone to make a stock and add fennel wedges to stock and cook until tender add tin of tomatoes and make a cornmeal dumplings on top of broth add back chicken pieces and serve as meal in a bowl it is fantastic and when serving add some reserved feathering from the bulb ..
Fennel bulb is prepared by cutting off stalk at bulb and removing outer leaves and cutting in wedges, it has a licorice flavor so will enhance either lentil or rice dishes I do not think it would do well in a stir fry better to use some bok choy instead
