When filing income tax, it has moving expenses listed....?

and it says "Include the costs of moving your possessions and the travel and lodging costs for you and your family. " I lost my job last year and found a new job almost 300 miles away (and cheaper cost of living). Can I include the fee for breaking my lease acquiring a new one plus travel and paying movers or is this not what is meant by "movong expenses"?

Paying movers, yes. Fees for breaking lease and getting a new one, no. One trip from your old home to the new one for you and your family, yes.

There are rules for deducting moving expenses, but from what you've said, it sounds like you have a chance. Look into it more deeply.
