Why do some Christians fear the occult, neo-paganism, and ect?

Rabid fear of the devil, even though mere faith in Jesus allegedly gives them the power to defeat the devil. I don't get it either.

Stuff like that is competition for peoples' hearts and minds. The Bible teaches that anyone that is not for Jesus is against him, and so a lot of Christians fear anything that isn't specifically Christian. I would compare it to the rivalry between Wal-Mart and Target.

I don't know about the others, maybe too caught up in that religious box to appreciate/understand others' beliefs... those other faiths you mention interest me though, that yin yang pic is awesome btw...

Because they know nothing of it. Fear of the unknown. And they will never learn about it, because the Bible prohibits it.

christianity IS the occult

Many fear it because they don't know how to respond or deal with it, unfortunately.

Christians are afraid of everything, that is why they're Christians.

They think ANYTHING that does not have to do with there religion is satanic.

They shouldn't. I embrace it, tell them all how it is, and go my merry way.
