Is this normal for a cat?

Has anything changed? Have you started feeding her as opposed to the usual person? Cats are curious creatures and don't always show loyalty like dogs. They can be moody, and can certainly change their minds about people. I think if something was really wrong, health-wise, she would leaving everyone alone, hiding a lot, and eating less. Just enjoy the new company!

You didn't mention her age. Is she evolving from kitten to cat? Is she coming into heat for the 1st time? Have you had bad weather lately (stop laughing)? Cats are very sensitive to upcoming storms. The electricity in the air hurts their fur. My cats get "clingy" when a storm is approaching then go back to being cats when it's over. Be happy she's liking you finally. Took my Skeeter 3 years to want to be petted.

She may be more used to you now, or even growing and changing. When i first got my cats, one was delighted to go home at first, but was so shy once away from her mom. She stayed and peed in the corner all day! A few months later, she finally approached me!

Don't be worried my cats hated my dad for years( 5 to be exact) all of a sudden the cat comes up to him and starts rubbing up to him

I'm thinking your cat has either suddenly warmed up to you or she isn't fixed and she's in heat. If it goes away in a week or so then she probably was in heat. Hope this helps!
