Driver and Profit?? Need a quick answer please!?
Me and my friends are trying to start a race team. If we have a driver, a couple of cars, if we were to get a sponsor and run/win races, after paying the driver, and crew, how much of a profit would we be able to make off of this?
We really have no money, or rather very little money, and want to use this chance to get ahead by a little bit. Any help you can give me would help me out. The team's just starting out and we're unheard of and want to get ahead. Thanks.
We have the driver, and a car, and we ARE the team.

Okayyy, I'm gonna answer your question as much as I can: racing is not a for-profit sport. A lot of teams rarely make any type of a large profit. Racing is NOT the sport to get into without 1. Training for the crew 2. Training for the driver 3. A LOT of funds, when you start out racing you NEED to know what you're doing. 4. How old are you? by the way you asked the question, you sound to be about 12. That's great that you want something badly, but this is not realistically going to happen. A tip I want to give you in life is that sometimes, things just won't happen. You can't make a profit off of racing, you need to be able to take out a loan to start a team, buy a car, etc. if you already have a driver and a car, do you have a motor? Do you know how to keep up said motor? Do you have the time and money to keep the car running at its best? This means new parts for when accidents happen, a nice paint job, registration money for each race and the season and the car, buying the numbers, paying the driver, tools, a place to work on it, etc. You'll also need a really good team to get sponsors, and therefore make money.
Source(s): Me, myself, and I. And the fact that I've been driving racecars since age 4, all supported by my dad. Who never ever tried to use racing to "make a profit". We have raced with and without sponsors, neither made a difference to him, he just paid every penny to start out and when I was just little and racing for fun. Now, whenever I win a race I give him some of the money and I keep some of it and he keeps the sponsorships and always always always always always uses them for something for the car, like tools or parts and puts excess into a bank account. - ?Lv 41 decade ago
Unless you are going to be your own Driver, Crew Chief, Mechanic & Pit Crew Forget it. You will only end up broke with a junked race car that will need a lot more money & you will be nowhere near having a Sponsor. If you are serious, the first thing to do is see if you can find a sponsor, but without a race team who would sponsor you? Unless you have plenty of money & connections then forget it.

The biggest part of the equation is how much you can sell advertising on your car for. If you could rope in a high paying sponsor, you could make some money. No sponsor, you'll be broke in no time.

The well businessperson could harvest the lengthy-lived species to extinction due to the fact they might make more cash and spend money on whatever else - as an alternative than make certain the species persisted. The "well" businessperson (through well, i imply lucrative) is aware of that the finest benefit comes from promoting the entire inventory off instantly... as an alternative than with ease utilizing what's sustainable. For the quick lived species, like cod, privatization could be potent however for longer ones, akin to swordfish, whale or tuna, slaughtering all of them could make you more cash and as a trade man or woman, one could much more likely promote all of them off even supposing that supposed one might certainly not consume them once more. Cattle farms are sponsored through the federal government. They're no longer personal in any respect --- correctly, you pay for the farmers to elevate as many farm animals as feasible, after which pay for the milk/meat, after which additionally pay to fix the land that the farm animals destroyed. --------- Actually, whale species are continuously hunted to the threshold of extinction due to the fact it's with ease extra lucrative to milk all of them instantly than to stay up for them to develop and broaden. The blue whale for illustration was once virtually utterly long gone so whalers switched to the smaller fin whales. After the fin whales went, they switched to the sei whales... and so it keeps. They exploited the most important and so much useful first, and also have moved on down the meals chain. They are different species to make use of as soon as the well ones are long gone -- so the cash from the primary species is truthfully extra lucrative... It's no longer just a rapid greenback, its a far a lot better one that may be invested a few wherein else and attain curiosity. (encyclopedia britannica)

Do you mean with real cars? You have to be realistic, people at the beginner levels put in a lot more money than they get back out.
Try talking to people at the racetrack, ask how much profit they're making. They won't know whether to laugh or cry. :-(

You don't make money running races, until you get to the big leagues.
Racing is a very expensive hobby.
I have worked with, and pitted for several race teams, including teams that have won track and State championships,
and, they considered it a GREAT year, if they broke even.
