Do Creationists wash their hands?

Germs are just a theory, hence the Germ Theory of Disease.

They really seem to be eager to dismiss theories as random, incorrect guesses, instead of actually learning what a Scientific Theory actually is, a collection of FACTS, EVIDENCE, and OBSERVATIONS to explain a natural phenomenon.

Update:

To people, yes, you may have seen germs. But have you ever seen them make someone sick?

You know, you're right. I've never seen a germ actually make anybody sick. We need to teach the controversy.

Just because I think that there is an intelligence to the formation of the universe, doesn't mean I dismiss scientific theory. In fact, I embrace it. I just got through teaching my students about bacteria and viruses and how the human body is an incredible machine designed to single out, search and destroy these microbes. I also taught them that the best way to help the body fight viruses and bacteria is by employing proper handwashing techniques.

I'm sorry, I just can't see something as amazing, wonderous and fantastic as our immune system as just the accidental clumping together of random atoms over time. Nor can I look at the way viruses can mutate, attact and sometimes fool the immune system as something accidental.

Yes, I'm a creationist and I believe in and teach science. Go figure.

I love all the people saying, "That's not a theory, we can SEE germs!"

Yes, but seeing them doesn't explain how they infect us and make us sick, now does it?

That's what germ theory explains -- and it's got ample evidence showing it to be correct.

We see evolution, too -- it's an observed fact.

The theory of evolution by natural selection explains how the observed fact of evolution works, and has ample evidence showing it to be correct.

But the creationists missed that part, huh?

    Peace.

Apparently people are having a hard time with this question because they can see germs. Maybe you should ask it again but this time use atomic theory. How many people have seen a proton or electron? Heck, we've just recently been able to see a single molecule. We still haven't seen an atom.

Well in answer to your question if a theory is a collection of FACTS, EVIDENCE, and OBSERVATIONS to explain a natural phenomenon; I guess they will wash there hands.

@Exodia & John C - Evolution has more evidence supporting it than almost any other scientific theory. It has been observed repeatedly. The entire science of biology is founded upon it.

Don't you realise that you actively drive people away from belief in god when you repeatedly spouting such ignorant garbage?

Um, look up who discovered the germ theory please.

Well of course, the Bible told us about sanitation thousands of years before man came up with germ theory. Science can't compare with the knowledge of God.

Yes I do since our God had a working knowledge of the germ theory of disease when He wrote His hygiene laws for the human race to follow 3500 years ago in the book of Leviticus.

They only deny those things which they deem desirable to deny.
