Nope. :) Green tea is very good for you! Nothing bad should happen.

I started drinking a lot of tea (all the colors) because it is supposed to be so good for a person. However, I have recently read that there are potential drawbacks to high tea consumption (can't remember what they were or if they were associated with any particual type of tea...hmmm...maybe it was memory problems). Anyway, I don't recall the drawbacks being particularly horrifying. However, it is probably best to stick to moderation in all things and not go too heavy on the tea. (As a side note, when I read about the tea drawbacks, I decided to switch to water...and I got shingles after about a week. Now, it could be totally unrelated, but I'm rather young for shingles. I'm now back to drinking tea, just less of it.)

Drinking green tea is generally considered good for you. In fact you can reasonably drink up to around 10 cups a day. However, because it contains polyphenols, it can cause liver and kidney damage in extremely large quantities. This usually only becomes an issue if you are taking green tea supplements. These contain massive amounts of polyphenols when compared to drinking it from a cup.

It all depends on what type of tea you bought. If you bought dieters tea that tells you not to consume more than 1 cup a day . . . then take that as a warning since it may contain senna leaves which work as a natural laxative. Too much tea will have you spending you time in the bathroom.

All I read about are the benefits of drinking green tea, and that extends beyond weight loss. Green tea is full of powerful antioxidants and may also strengthen your teeth and gums, so swish it around. I have heard of no negative aspects to drinking green tea.

No, green tea is one of the healthiest things there are. (unless you use tons of sugar)
Don't use sugar, tea has caffeine so it might give you whatever effects caffeine has on you.
Green tea helps burn fat faster, it won't really help "lose" weight. Just watch what you eat, nutrition is the most important part in weight loss. Then focus on cardio and weight lifting as they are both very helpful as well.
