Is there a translation of the Bible that says God created the world in six consecutive days?

Just wondering

Update:

I'm just trying to see how many people are familiar with the Gap Theory. It states that the Bible never mentions how much time passed between the days that God created.

I don't think many people consider the six days to be literal days but rather periods of time. I doubt very much there was an ancient Hebrew word for eon. In any case the story was passed down for many generations before it was eventually written down, meaning there may have been many versions of it.

By the time it was written down "days" was probably the most widely used version of the story. Then of course many centuries later someone decides to translate it. Hebrew is a difficult language to translate and the same word can often have several meanings.

But the acceptable translation became "days" and for some reason the church decided that this must literally be 24 hour period, and persisted that to be accurate.

I think the churches don't want to admit that the bible was written by man not God and so isn't perfect, if people realised that, they might start opening their eyes and mind and seek the truth. In doing so they might also discover that the church really has nothing to do with God, they just want to steal God's followers and claim them for themselves.

The most common interpretation is that the "6 days" correspond with the 6 phases of the Big Bang Theory. The notion of six "24-hour days" is a common misinterpretation. The original Talmud version doesn't refer to "days", but to "eras". Warning: the video features a nuclear physicist discussing the "6 days", so the discussion may be over the head of the average non-believer.

i do no longer understand what the Qu'ran says, yet we don't understand how time grow to be measured whilst the international grow to be created. the huge bang theory and the Bible are based of an identical issues, however the scientist have demented issues. They stick to alongside an identical course and with the time subject. we don't understand how time grow to be measured for God by using fact he consistently grow to be and consistently would be.6 days for him might have been billions of years, we don't understand and neither do scientist. there is not any way they are able to coach that. God created the international in seven days technically. He rested on the seventh day that's why in our faith it says that Sunday is an afternoon of resting.

As per the Bible, in the first book of Genesis in Chapter On e, the universe was created in six days and each day is defined as a twenty-four hours period. Even though the Qur’an mentions that the universe was created in six ‘Ayyaams’, ‘Ayyaam’ is the plural of years; this word has two meanings: firstly, it means a standard twenty-four hours period i.e. a day, and secondly, it also means stage, period or epoch which is a very long period of time.

When the Qur’an mentions that the universe was created in six ‘Ayyaams’, it refers to the creation of the heavens and the earth in six long periods or epochs; scientists have no objection to this statement. The creation of the universe has taken billions of years, which proves false or contradicts the concept of the Bible which states that the creation of the Universe took six days of twenty-four hour durations each.

He sanctified the Sabbath as the seventh day, a day of rest, since He created for six days and rested on the seventh. If it was something other than six days, then it would make no sense for the Sabbath to be the seventh and for Him to have commanded His people to rest on it.

    The KJV, of course.

Most versions do say six days, but the publishers often put footnotes that claim otherwise.

If you mean a Bible that says it's a literal 24 hour period for each day, I don't think so.

I will gladly produce a translation for you that assigns any duration you like. How about 4.5 billion years? That way we could teach ID in schools and everyone would be happy again.

You can use the babylon for this purpose. It's the best translator in my opinion: http://babylon.gnds.info/?l=us
