What sounds good for dinner tonight?

Need some good dinner ideas. I have chicken and a few other meats. I also have veggies, pasta, and white sauce, and cheese. Anyone got some ideas working with this? I'm feeding my fiancee, myself, and a 3 year old. Neither of us like overly spicy foods, and i can't eat tomato products. Most appealing idea or recipe gets the points!

Update:

So many good answers. Gonna be very hard to choose! lol

how bout you marinate your chicken then put it in the oven with the veggies as well, top your chicken with some jelly and bbq sauce if youd like or just jelly and any other sauce of your choice glaze your chicken once inside the oven....

as far as pasta u can save it for another day or make the pasta and add some cheese place the oven roasted glazed chicken on top of it in either sliced or whole...

the veggies and marinated chicken juices will mix well and the pasta will go well for your 3 yr old..

all the best. and lucky fiance your cooking dinner for him tonite =)

Well my fav food ever includes all you ingredients:

    Basically its chicken-veggie pasta.

cook the chicken as usual (but make sure to cut it into very small pieces prior, about half the size of a chicken nugget)

next cook the pasta about 1 1/2 cup-2 (the spiral kind) as labeled on the package.

Next steam the veggies about 1 cup (I use broccoli florets, green and yellow beans and carrots, mushrooms)

after put into a casserole dish with a small spoonful of water( so it doesnt stick) and mix together, add about 1/2 cup of grated Mozzarella cheese.

I add a sauce called "Pashamel"

basically melt 1/2 cup of butter or margarine and leave on low heat, add 1/2 cup of flour and 3/4 cup of milk and stir with a whisk on low heat, you will feel it start to thicken, next add a dash of salt and pepper and i usually add a slice of cheddar kraft singles. When it is fairly thick pour over the over stuff in the casserole dish and mix.

Put in the oven at 400 degrees (just so the cheese melts) and leave it in there for 15-20 min.

ITS SUPER GOOD, and nutritious, just had some for lunch today.

Make Fettuccine Alfredo. Get the recipe online make it fresh or not at all. You will be spoiled by it homemade and frustrated with it when you go out for it.Do a chicken breast (bone in) on the side baked with italian dressing. But you may find you'd rather just do the pasta and garlic bread with a salad and make the meal vegetarian.

Source(s): It just works at home, trust me

Source(s): potato salad, stir fried vegetables, and chicken alfredo. You have your American food ( potato salad ) you have your Chinese ( stir fried vegetables ) and your Italian ( chicken alfredo )
