How did this get in the health care bill without President Obama and every single Democrat in Congress knowing?

The facts on the reforms are quite simple. So the right spread lies and half truths.

FACT - Insurance companies in the USA admit to pushing up prices, buying politicians and not paying out claims when they should [1]

FACT - PER PERSON the USA spends more on healthcare than any other nation on the planet [2]

FACT - Obama debated his plans before the election for healthcare [3]

FACT - the chance of a child under five of dying in the USA is greater than industrialised nations with universal health coverage [4]

FACT - Obama was elected to bring in change [5]

FACT - Obama wants to stop insurance companies from screwing America [6]

FACT - The reforms Obama wants work in the Netherlands and Switzerland [7]

Let me know if my facts are wrong, but please provide proof.

It's obvious, the evil Republicans with heir 40 vote super minority snuck it in there while he and his staff of milli0ns were distracted. Ha, ha.

it's simple all they have to do is first make it so the insurance companies cannot drop someone that has contract with them and has been paying all along and in the guidelines of the policy. i know you can take them to court, but face it it like when the hospitals kill loved one you go t court and they the hospitals have the $500 plus an hour lawyers to represent them and draw it out so the other attorneys will not take the case. It's sad, but here in Mississippi we had tort reform adn know first hand of three "mistakes" and no money for the families. lIke one poor fellow had a stint and was given something he was allergic to and it was all over the charts and wrist band and the hospital personnel nurse and doctor tried to hide it. But anyway set it up where the people are taken care of adn the insurance companies are fined a million a pop and as for the tort reform at least leave enough for the family.

Second just figure out how too let the 1,300 insurance companies in the country to cross state lines and create a big market.

Those two simple things that should have been done a long time ago can be done.

All this hogwash which has taken up so much time and left $200 billion in stimulus money or 70%5 sitting drawing dust needs to be scraped. Have a great 2010!

Oh yea one super problem is the $3.2 billion* and the $3.7 billion* in 2008 and 2009 the lobbyists and others donated to our house and Senate members and the only difference is that the party n charge gets the 55% cut. You need to look at the 2003 Medicare Prescription Drug Bill. that thing according to the CBO was to cost $500 billion over a "ten year period", but after signing they came back and revised it to a TRILLION. Plus It allowed the insurance companies to get out of contractual obligations and dumped it onto medicare, $100 billion a year. They passed that at 3 am in the morning.

Because a) we don't want the government controlling our personal lives so much with the abortion surcharge and the way older people will have to explain their conditions to boards and b) the government tends to screw up agencies it takes over. I don't want to have to wait hours for doctors or have some suit telling me that I have to wait months for a procedure, like is the case in Canada and the UK. Further, though the Democrats talk bipartisan, the reality is that neither Pelosi or Reid will allow any of the Republican plans on the floor for debate--there are 3 at least. Finally, there is an air of secrecy as if the Democrats don't want us to know what's really in this thing.

Since Obama has taken office there seems to be a continuous flood of OBVIOUS corruption coming out of Washington. Perhaps other Presidents and administrations were corrupt too - but at least they tried to hide it. The Obama administration is openly flaunting their corruption in the faces of the taxpayer and effectively destroying any confidence that the taxpayers may have in our elected officials.

What kind of corruption? The corruption of the stimulus plan and to who the money went to - no one knows and certainly no one will say. The corruption of Obama’s czars and their radical anti-American policies and beliefs - these czars are accountable to no one - but Obama. The corruption to attempt to pass the health care bill without the backing of the people and the bribes being given and taken. The corruption of the behind closed door deals that Obama is making with the pharmaceutical companies, Planned Parenthood, AARP and the unions. All a disgrace to the charachter, dignity and work of our founding fathers.

Of course there is the massive corruption as to what is exactly IN the health care bill and how it will drastically change the structure of the American government - eating up our freedoms along the way. This bill was not written by Congress or Obama - but by the SEIU union and Andy Stern - is this shocking to anyone? Did you know that this bill was NOT written by Congress and our elected officials?

What are we the taxpayers going to do about this “in your face” corruption? And how do we get our confidence back in our elected officials? We must make our voice heard and vote in those that actually believe in the Constitution and the work of our founding fathers. o_O

i would still bet most senators and obama himself, have not read the full bill so who knows what else is in there. are the bribes still there - there are probably more. i would also expect that the senators and obama, of course, are still exempt along with the previous exemptions. they could care less what the people want. the lies are to be expected at this point.

Obama said a couple weeks ago that "someone had snuck into the Bill that you would not be allowed to keep your own Doctor". The D.C. cabal must believe we are stupid. I listened to the House Debates from gavel to gavel. The Republicans made a point several times and reading from the Democrat Bill that there would be panels that would determine if a treatment is justifiable. Here is the reason they are even in more of a hurry now and Pelosi is telling her Democrat House members that they should be willing to lose their seats so she have the Health Care feather in her cap. The Democrats did not elect Obama. The Independent voters did. They foolishly believed him when he campaigned as a centrist. They now are leaving him in droves. The Democrats and Obama are done in 2010 and 2012. Friday the U.S. Treasury put their report out of 11.46 trillion we are in the red. It is worse than that. China holds 700 billion of out debt and is dumping it as fast as they can. Japan holds 600 billion. The Federal Reserve holds 50 trillion.

Guess that is what happens when they try to shove a 2700 page bill through the system and no one bothers to read it!

The intent was to pass this quickly before the public learned what was in it. That is what the rush was last July, they wanted it to be passed before the legislature adjourned for the August break. The denials of death panels and other questionable parts of that bill were to cover up what was really involved.

There is still urgency to get something passed that it can be tailored later to reinsert those questionable provisions into the law. Never trust any politician that presses to ram legislation through quickly before anyone can find out what is in it, they are hiding something.

Classic Obama - "we said from the start that it was going to be important for us to be consistent in (saying) to people"

So he's saying their lies must be consistent if they want to sell this trash to the public.

The health care bill is about control of the people not health care reform.

This bill does not:

Improve health care

Cover everyone

provide 100% coverage

Cuts costs to your Dr

What it does do:

It will allow the Feds to regulate your lifestyle.

Tell you what is right and wrong thus they will become the Moral Police or the leftest Moral Majority--only it will be their morals so they can stay in power with the Majority.

He knew; they all knew. It has nothing to do with health care. it is just an attempt at a power grab, pure and simple!
