i must fill out an application for the church i would like to be wed at.?
they ask the question "are you living with or have you ever lived with your fiance?" could they reject me? my fiance and i have been living together 6 months. i am worried the church could reject us for this. it is a baptist church. im already prepared to pay an arm and a leg for the service to be held there. is this a normal thing to ask? should i be worried or lie about our living arrangement?
thanks guys for the answers so far!!! i have wanted to get married at this church since i was a freshman in college. my fiance and i are getting married in our college town where we met. i really want to get married there, but i would never be comfortable lying to church members.

The church could reject you for any reason they want, including living together before marriage. This may be a qualification form or they may just want to get to know more about you. I would fill it out honestly, and if they reject you, it's not a place I would want to be married anyway.

They probably know you are living together anyway. Just fill it out honestly. It is worse to lie to clergy. You don't want to create a web of lies when you are laying the foundation to your marriage.
The church knows that most people live together.

they could reject you for any reason, but it isn't likely. Don't sweat it though - tell the truth and if they don't like it bring your money elsewhere. You wouldn't want to get married there anyway if they have that attitude.
