Hinduism is a polytheistic religion, that is to say, one that believes in many gods, not just one. The many gods of Hinduism are thought collectively to have created and to be in charge of the universe in much the same way that Christians believe that their single God created and is in charge of the universe. Hinduism is more complicated.

Despite this, Hindus believe that their many deities are just aspects of the Supreme Being, Brahman. They think that Brahman is too big for people to understand in His true form so the just worship their favorite aspect of the god, and see worship of any of the gods as worship of Brahman Himself. Therefore you can say Hinduism is polytheistic but it would not be incorrect to describe it as monotheistic either, depending on how you look at it. :)))))))))

Hinduism is generally associated with a multiplicity of Gods, and it does not advocate the worship of one particular deity. The Gods and Goddesses of Hinduism amount to thousands, all representing the many aspects of only one supreme Absolute called “Brahman”. However, people who don’t know this, misinterprets the fact that Hinduism has a multitude of Gods! What one should understand is that although there are many manifestations of Brahman in the forms of deities each deity is really an aspect of the Brahman or, ultimately Brahman itself.

Which god? Hindus don't worship the Abrahamic god. They worship Vishnu, Shiva, Ganesha, Krishna and so on. Update: I like the Hindu concept of Brahman, but it is a pantheistic concept not a monotheistic one. The Abrahamic god is more of a personal deity, a super being basically. Brahman is everything.

well.. i guess we(hindus) see god not in one form, but in each and every form... like there is a geat story every kid in india kno's.. its abt a boy who worshipped lord vishnu and his father was a king who thot that no god was greater than him.. he tried to have his son killed 3 times coz his son wouldnt worship him.. but vishnu saved him all the time.. finally the boy told his dad that god is everywhere and he wud save him whenever... so his dad got angry and smashed a pillar saying that if god were in it he wud come out... and lord vishnu appeared in the form of "NARSIMHA" (half lion half human) and well jus killed the dad... i also think each god has a special reverence.. like bramha is the creator, vishnu the sustainer, shive the destroyer, laxmi goddess of wealth, narad muni the messenger of the gods... its sorta like all those many roman or greek gods....... each person has their own belief yaar...
