about contemporary children's poetry, I notice there is not much of it.Does anyone know why?
I have been working with young teens for about 4 years now in developing countries and some of the stuff is pretty lame. Where can I find good examples of verse, free verse or even short poetic prose or works that will appeal to their tastes and experience ? Children's humour seems to be especially hard to find.

Well, on writing site's where teens dominate such as protagonize, there is a lot of poetry written by teens, so its want they want to hear, if that makes sense? i hope thats what you meant.
