Advanced healing of chronic foot wound.?

No, not diabetic... Trauma wound from M/C wreck almost 4 months ago on inside of rt. foot just distal to big toe, roughly the size of a golf ball. After months I have skin over it but it is weak & thin skin. Put shoe back on finally end of January or so but still hurts like hell after walking or just wearing a shoe all day. I'm 1 of the few Americans w/o health insurance and simply want to regain function and use of the appendage.

Update:

Thanks- home remedies site doesn't address this, doc.

Update 2:

Donna- thank you, I know that's right. Patience with the slow heal or get worse again.

I hav e the same thing on my ankle. All my shoes rub on the spot. I use a larger bandage and put a gauze pad under it for extra protection. Try not to break the new skin open or its back to the healing process again.

you might try keeping a pressure bandage on It that should speed the healing.
