Drink a gallon of milk a day to gain weight?

I am 18 years old and 6'2'' 155lbs... yes very skinny I know. I have heard that drinking a gallon of milk a day can cause you to gain about 20lbs in a month. I will be lifting weights and drinking 1% milk thats about 1700 calories a gallon. I know I will put on fat but I will deal with that later, and if things get bad I can always become skinny again lol.

Does any1 have any tips or advice? My ultimate goal is about 200lbs.

    Hi dear,

    follow these guidelines to gain healthy weight

    - Eat nutritious foods that are high in calories. Examples are whole-grain breads, vegetables such as avocados and potatoes, kidney beans, lean red meat, poultry and fish.

    - Increase the caloric value of your meals. Add powdered milk to casseroles for added calories, add avocados and olives to sandwiches, add wheat germ to your cereal, add chopped meat to your pasta sauce, and so on.

    - Avoid skipping meals. Knowing how to gain weight involves consistent eating. Eat three meals a day and at least two snacks.

    - Increase your normal portion size. Take a second scoop of pasta, or add two bananas to your oatmeal.

    - Choose higher-calorie foods when given a choice. For example, corn is higher in calories than green beans.

    - Relax - excessive fidgeting and restlessness can burn up a lot of calories.

    -Add weight lifting to your exercise program. It helps build muscle mass.

    - Balance your caloric intake with the number of calories you're burning. You need to be taking in more than you use up, and you may need to ease up a little on your exercise program.

    Well milk is full of protein so it would certainly help.

    I would only drink that much personally if I was training really hard. If you're doing little or no weights work and drinking that, it'll just end up as fat. So just make sure you do some weightlifting(:

    Gaining that much weight in that amount of time is very unhealthy.

    Ingest about 500 calories more per day, instead.

    Why would you gain that much? My bf is like 230 he beat you already lol It is very unhealthy. An average weight for a person is, well, depends how old you are. For teenagers 95-120 I think
