Who says God is perfect? (Mostly for Christians).?

It's not possible to describe Him in human terms. "Perfect" is probably the closest thing we can say. "Holy" means set apart.

Deu 32:4 [He is] the Rock, his work [is] perfect: for all his ways [are] judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right [is] he.

2Sa 22:31 [As for] God, his way [is] perfect; the word of the LORD [is] tried: he [is] a buckler to all them that trust in him.

Psa 19:7 The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple.

Hbr 5:9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;

Since God is the beginning and the Creator, what he does IS just because he makes the rules. So if he says he IS perfect, then he is.

Of 6 kinds of NT "perfect",

God is the 'teleios' sort of perfect,

which is also "merciful" in Luke 6:36.

God will have mercy, and not sacrifice,

which is to say have grace, not law,

which is to say have life, not death.

Offering sacrifice (slain) to that God

is like offering death unto eternal Life.

(Thanks. I don't think you are insulting.) The bible says God created man in His image. All goodness in men is a reflection of the Creator.

God gives everyone free choice. The consequences for making the wrong ones will be in the hereafter.

The true religion would be the one that came from God. I converted to Islam a few years ago. We Muslims love Jesus(pbuh) because he was one of God's messengers. I became a Muslim when I realized these things

God sent many messengers to Adam's(pbuh) descendants to let us know that we should worship none but God alone and to submit to God but people kept changing their message.

Islam is the same religion that Abraham(pbuh), Moses(pbuh), Jesus(pbuh), Muhammad(pbuh) and all the other prophets preached. The word Islam in Arabic means submission to God and that is what all the prophets did.

The Holy Quran says this about the Trinity

[4:171] O people of the scripture, do not transgress the limits of your religion, and do not say about GOD except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was a messenger of GOD, and His word that He had sent to Mary, and a revelation from Him. Therefore, you shall believe in GOD and His messengers. You shall not say, "Trinity." You shall refrain from this for your own good. GOD is only one god. Be He glorified; He is much too glorious to have a son. To Him belongs everything in the heavens and everything on earth. GOD suffices as Lord and Master.

[5:73] Pagans indeed are those who say that GOD is a third of a trinity. There is no god except the one god. Unless they refrain from saying this, those who disbelieve among them will incur a painful retribution.

[5:116] GOD will say, "O Jesus, son of Mary, did you say to the people, `Make me and my mother idols beside GOD?' " He will say, "Be You glorified. I could not utter what was not right. Had I said it, You already would have known it. You know my thoughts, and I do not know Your thoughts. You know all the secrets.

So if Christians believe in the trinity, they are ploytheistic.

According to the Qur'an, Jesus(pbuh) was born miraculously by the will of God without a father. His mother is regarded as a chaste and virtuous woman and is a highly respected figure in Islam. The Qur'an states that Jesus was the result of a virgin birth. If God says it will happen, it will. For Muslims Mary is a symbol of submission to God and piety.

Moses, Abraham, and Jesus(Peace be upon them all) brought Islam but people changed it and forgot it. The Bible was the word of God until people changed it. Today there are more than one thousand different Bibles. Why do you think there are so many different versions of it?

The Quran is in it's Original form. It has never been changed. There are different translations of the Quran but there is only one version and that is the original form. That is why it must be recited in it's original language so that it doesn't change.

The word Islam in Arabic means submission to the will of God and thats what Abraham, Moses, Jesus and Muhammad(Peace be upon them all) did. God sent them to let the world know that they should worship none but God himself.

Christians don't follow Jesus(pbuh) the way he said. No where in the Bible does Jesus say that he's God and to worship him but thats what Christians do. When Jesus(pbuh) was praying, was he praying to himself?

But heres what Jesus(pbuh) did say in the Bible.

Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a MAN approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: (KJV Bible Acts 2:22)

Mark tells us in his gospel that Jesus was unable to do any powerful work in his hometown except few things: “He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.” (Mark 6:5). Mark also tells us that when Jesus tried to heal a certain blind man, the man was not healed after the first attempt, and Jesus had to try a second time (see Mark 8:22-26).

John tells us that Jesus cannot do anything by his own when he quotes Jesus as saying: “By myself I can do nothing...” (John 5:30).

And here are some facts. Jesus(pbuh) needed to eat food, he got thirsty and had to drink, he got sad, he got angry, and he got hurt. These are not the qualities of God.

As a Muslim, I believe that Jesus(pbuh) healed sick people and brought people back to life with God's permission. Jesus(pbuh) even said

“By myself I can do nothing...” (John 5:30).

Quran [3:55] Thus, GOD said, "O Jesus, I am terminating your life, raising you to Me, and ridding you of the disbelievers. I will exalt those who follow you above those who disbelieve, till the Day of Resurrection. Then to Me is the ultimate destiny of all of you, then I will judge among you regarding your disputes.

Heres a verse from the Bible about Original sin

“The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, neither shall the children be put to death for the fathers: every man shall be put to death for his own sin.” (Deuteronomy 24:16)

So why do Christians believe everyone is born with sin when their own Bible says that evryone one is responsible for their sins.

(Quran 6:164) “…No person earns any (sin) except against himself (only), and no bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another…”

Islam is not a name. Islam means Submission to God alone. Muslim is an Arabic word that refers to the person who Submits to God alone. Submission involves an active daily process of remembering and worshiping God alone.

Oh and to the people who are ignorant

People please get some education. Women and men are equal in Islam. Look at the treatment of women here in USA. A women is raped every 3 minutes in USA according to the statistics. That is only the data that was reported wonder how many go unreported.

How many of us American stop and give the right of the way to women which is a common thing (at least in Pakistan where I have been). People stop their activity (game or what have you) to let women pass.

Good and bad are in every society. There are people who follow Islamic teaching and treat their women like a pearl and there are people who don't follow Islamic teach and treat their women like crap.

Same in US, UK, Russia, China, India, Mexico, Brazil and the rest of the world.

Beating of women is also very common in many other societies ... lets face the fact ... Islam gives women more right then any other religion and I can prove that if someone needs me to.

Pick up the old testament and tell me if I am lying but women who are on their period are to be considered un-holy and the things they touch become un-holy as well!!

No such concept in Islam.

I think people really need to start learning more about the teaching of Islam and stop judging it by the act of people who may not be following what they should.

The first country to ever recgonize the U.S.A after it's independence was Morocco, a Muslim country. Islam forbids violence. All this propaganda that you see on the news is not because of their religion, it's because some individuals want their own political causes. The State of Israel for example is occupied Palestineian territory. People do whatever it takes to scare the invading forces away from their country so they can make the political system the way they want it to be. Even the Catholic I.R.A group does terrorist attacks against the U.K. because the U.K. occupied northern Ireland.
