I cannot find out how much a CT scan costs of just the brain in the state of Kentucky or really anywhere else for that matter. Could someone give me any figures about the price of a Brain CT scan?

From what I've found, prices for screening CT scans (where the patient has no symptoms and is undergoing the scan for piece of mind only), range from $300 to $500 dollars.
Prices for diagnostic CTs (where a patient is suffering symptoms and a scan is performed to diagnose a cause) range from $580 to $1,500 per body part.
Prices vary widely, even within the same city and will also cost more if a contrast material is required.
