Moms- been in the hospital since tuesday... what would you do?

So, I have Chrons and suffered a severe flare and apparently its spread and a bit infected. I am so sick of being in here as I am not used to not doing anything between school, my case load for my internship, cleaning and taking care of my son. Any ideas before I go bonkers at the thoughts of what my house must look like and what my hubby is feeding Zeke?

Also, Zeke starts crying about five minutes asfter seeing me in the hospital the past few days. Would it make me a horrible mom if I told my hubby not to bring him by today? I love and miss him so much but feel like im distressing him

Wow, that must be really hard. Just remember that you are doing what you have to do - healing yourself before you can take care of other people. Worrying about your son and your work won't help you or them.

I would suggest talking often with your husband about what he and Zeke are doing. Don't do it in a way that suggests you don't have confidence in him; just say you're missing Zeke and want to know what his day has been like. That way you'll get more information and ease your mind.

Cleaning can wait; having a messy house is not the end of the world, and kids never notice. As for work, it will still be there when you get back. No sense getting stressed over it now.

Just rest as much as possible; it may help you heal faster. If you get bored, there's always entertainment on the internet. You can always read Y!A and give the trolls a hard time.

Oiy, I'm sorry to hear about this. I can't even imagine being in the hospital while my husband fended for our daughters! He'd feed them cake for breakfast, lunch, and dinner I'm sure! Obviously you have internet access, you could always browse the channels that allow you to watch episodes online. You could look up some of thse free web games and let them take your mind off of things for a little while. I enjoy Yahoo Literati, but that's just me.

I don't think it would make you a horrible mom if you kept Zeke away. I can understand that you don't want him stressing about not being able to take you home with him. On the other hand you could also have your husband bring some coloring books or something and have Zeke sit with you on the bed and color together for a little while. You could also show him how the bed moves! My daughter loved that when I was in the hospital after giving birth to my youngest. Good luck! I hope you start feeling better soon!
