Good outdoor cat breeds?

What breeds are best at living outdoors and not straying too far from home?

Update:

I live in a pretty quiet city in Arkansas, as long as they dont run away they'll be fine outside just like my 11 year old cat i have now.

No breeder is going to sell you a kitten or cat that you intend to force to live outdoors. So unless you can be a responsible pet owner - you're not getting a "breed".

I let my cat go outside when it wants. I have owned two cats. Both domestic shorthairs. The first lived to be 21 years old and the second is now 17 years old and very healthy. I guess I feel opposite of most cat owners and think if your just going to jail your cat indoors its whole life then don't get one.

Just your Domestic Long or Short hair one that is of no breed at all. I don't like cats to be outdoor cats because their life span is much shorter then most. A breeder of purebred cats have in their contracts that the cat will be an indoor only cat. Why spend that money on them to have them run outside and have something happen to them.

i really dont know but the average life span of an outdoor cat is 5-6 years and the average life span for a indoor cat is 15yrs give or take

if you get a cat please make it indoors only

None - if you feel the cat should go out, do so only under supervision.
