What did Japan do so that the United States entered World War II (other than Pearl Harbor)?

Right now the only ones i can think of are invasion of Manchuria and French indochina. Also pearl harbor.

Are there any other events that led to US entering WWII? Also could you give a description on what the US did against the event?

The United States was planning to enter the war before Pearl Harbor. The reasons were to fight for democracy because Hitler's army was so powerful. Britain couldn't handle it by herself with France under Nazi occupation. This is why FDR and the US government started coming out of the period of isolationism following WWI. The US had passed a total of 4 neutrality acts. One of the acts stated they wouldn't get involved in the war. A later act stated that they weren't giving any arms or money to Spain (which was about to be taken over by Franco). The next acts showed that America was willing to give money and arms to both sides, but it was primarily Britain that took advantage. The Lend-Lease Act (lent weapons to primarily Britain as long as they were returned or paid back for) was also another act showing support for the Allies. Pearl Harbor was simply the reason that the government was able to convince the public to join. The government actually knew the Japanese were going to attack because they had broken their code. The reasons they didn't take action to prevent Pearl Harbor was because a) they didn't want the Japanese to realize they had broken the code. and b) they needed a reason to become involved in a war that really wasn't their war. Being attacked gave America a reason to go to war, rather than just join a fight that didn't involve them.

EDIT: I would like to point out that Britain finished paying off their debt from the Lend-Lease Act in 2006.

Also, Japan did not have great relations with the US prior to WWII dating back to the American imperialistic era. California had banned Japanese children from schools, angering Japan. This turned into a grudge that held through Pearl Harbor.

It was Japans imperialism. Japan was entering Asia quicker than Hugh Hefner does a Playboy Bunny.

America told Japan to stop, this only annoyed the Japanese, thus they bombed Pearl Harbour. :)

I'm quite sure that it was Japans expansionism/imperialism/aggresiveness towards the rest of Asia and European colonies that paved the way for America's involvement in WW2.

Japans resources were shortening and they wanted to expand there country so they invaded the Philippines and other asian islands and the U.S. told them to stop they didn't but the japanese emperor said that the U.S. was the only thing standing in the way of them controlling all the islands in asia and that's why they attacked pearl harbor so the U.S. couldn't stop them

Japan. That's like one of the vital notorious acts in cutting-edge historical past. Certainly in American historical past. It's real effective that someone over the age of ten does not recognise that - now not your fault, however you could wish to learn up on it slightly. It's like, abnormal to not recognise.

Nothing, the USA only intervened after they hit the harbour...check the dates.

The USA also lease/loaned weapons etc to the UK (how kind of them) for which we are still paying the debt for to this day.

Then they went around calling themselves our saviours...hinting that we only won because they intervened.

We should know by now that the USA only "helps" if there is something in it for them.
