I have an overly affectionate cat. She licks my armpits and purrs-why is this.Does she need therapy?

There might be latent kitten issues.

    You're exactly right. The happiest time in a cat's life is when it's a kitten and lies with, and nurses on, its mother, so they do that behavior any chance they get, and I've also read that by neutering our cats at an early age, we keep them in a state of perpetual kittenhood, so, naturally, kitten-ish behavior is to be expected.

    A) Cats can't get therapy. They have no need, as they are cats. They need training.

    B) She probably just likes the taste of your sweat/deodorant. Just don't raise your arms around you're cat and she'll stop.
