Almost 4 yr old out of control. Please help!!!?

Question

I have twin nephews that are total opposites. One is quiet and mellow and the other is loud and rowdy. I know boys will be boys, but there comes a time when enough is enough. He is getting to be a total terror. I love him dearly, but I'm getting to the point that I dread the sight of him. He is physically and mentally abusive to other kids to the point that his mother took him to the doc because we are out of options. The doc said he sees nothing wrong but suggested taking him to be further evaluated. Is this just a twin rivalry thing or something more. I am desperate for answers. I have children of my own and don't want them to get hurt.

Do you babysit them?  If not, and their parents aren't doing anything there isn't much you can do.  You can try talking to their parents, and limiting their contact with your kids.

I had the same prob. with my nephew and niece (now 6 and 3).  Than I ended up watching them 40 hours a week, and was able to discipline them myself.  Their was and awkward moment when I once disciplined them because their dad wasn't doing it, but we've made great progress.  However, I can't stand taking my child to their house as they really misbehave (and are aggressive) and I'm not comfortable disciplining them there.

Sorry, I don't know more that you can do, I've been there and know how frustrating this can be.

I also have 4yr old twin boys. And I know quite a few twins, it is not a twin thing to just have pone be mean.

The mean and agressiveness is most likely comming from some oen he knows and he is just imitating.
