Why are these southerners crying like babies over the oil spill?

People of that calibre want their cake and they want to eat it too. They don't want to buy the flour, pay for the sugar, procure the butter, or invest in an oven. They do not want to dole out for the pots and pans to mix the ingredients and they definitely do not want to work the recipe for the cake. That is a "no no" to the Nth degree. Hell they don't even want to wait for the cake to cook; they want it all and they want it now!

So ... you want an explanation? You gotta better chance of seeing God first!

Just the ones imported from California are crying. The rest have rolled back their sleeves and are helping in the clean-up. Where's that idiot Obama? Shaking hands and grandstanding but doing nothing. If this had happened when Bush were President, the media would be having a blood fest. Do you even have a clue as to how much this is costing BP? Oil is a marginal business - profits have never been any better then average (the reasons many investors stear clear of them). This is going to cost many people their jobs. You seem to think BP is enjoying this. I guess the environazis don't care if the oil is spilled in the Arabian Gulf. The US cannot afford imported oil - we need a LOT more indigenous drilling. Accidents will happen but that is true for everything. Jeez!

Because oil spills will kill populations of things living in the ocean and birds too. It could also come to the east coast of the United States so I am worried. This is the worst oils spill in history and it's getting much worse..........The "Southerners" are worried because the shrimping season and other fishing seasons could be destroyed by this. The had an emergency shrimping "catch" to make sure they got some money before the oil comes and destroys everything. The oil is going to cost this country billions of dollars because of the destruction of many beaches. Yes, maybe some people in the country want off shore drilling, but that doesn't mean they want some oil to spill all over the place. They rarely "screw up" anyway.

I think this is a loaded question. Regardless of whether you're a southern Republican, northern Democrat, offshore drilling advocate, or not, you shouldn't be happy over such environmental damage and waste of resources. Also, I don't think any of the previously mentioned groups caused the oil spill, although you may disagree.

Only a very uneducated person would try to make this into a political-republican vs democrat issue. It is not.
