How far am I.....confused?
I am 19 weeks pregnant and was thinking I was 4 months 3 weeks...right?
But I am reading a book and it said that you start your 5th month @ 18 weeks, that would put me at 5 months and 2 weeks.
Which is right?

Pregnancy is actually 10 months not 9. Count every 4 weeks and you go up a month. Your 5th month would start at week 20.

Both . Doctor calculate pregnancy to be 40 weeks , which if you break it down is 10 months. Women usually calculate the weeks by the weeks of the month 16 weeks = 4 months 20 weeks =5 months ETC. The way your calculating is how most women do it and ist fine , but the end result will not give you nine months. Doctors use the 40 weeks because its hard to pinpoint exactly when you got pregnant because the actual first two weeks of your pregnancy your not actually pregnant yet. So in the end its evens out , i guess. But I calculate by 16 weeks = 4 months ETC. it's less confusing that way.

hi, you are almost 5 months pregnant, 4 months and 3 weeks, count ur months in 4 weeks at a time, as they give u 40 weeks which is actually 10 months because you carry right through ur 9th month so:
1 month=4weeks
2 months=8weeks
3 months=12 weeks
4 months=16weeks
5 months=20 weeks
6 months= 24 weeks
7 months=28 weeks
8 months=32 weeks
9 months=36 weeks
10 months=40 weeks
