I just got new cat, and he keeps on fighting with my other cat?

I just got another cat, a Maine Coon that is a 3 year old male, and he is constantly fighting with my other cat, a 4 year old male. My first cat is almost always outside now, probably too keep away from the new kitty. I really want everything to be like it was before, with my first kitty in the house more often, and not always so tense when he is inside. Will my cats establish who is dominant and calm down, or will it stay like this?

the new cat needs to be put in a bathroom or bedroom. the cat u already have will need lots of love and reassurance. let the new cat out a little at a time. a little growling and hissing can be normal but they arent going to be ok together if they keep fighting. existing cat gets to stay out and run the house for now. new cat goes to another room or the bathroom with the door shut. take it slow. this could take weeks. you will have to be patient with both cats. it is a big change for both of them. mak sure u give the existing cat lots of love when the new cat is out. existing pets can get jealous. on tiny step at a time.

    good luck

Give it time. They'll sort it out.
