Do you like the name Carlee?

Update:

It's a mix of my mom's middle name (Carol) and my dad's name (Lee). It's already my 8 month old's name. Not that it really matters what people think of it, but I was just curious.

Update 2:

Wow Name Nazi-good job being a *****.

Yes, I love it :) It's like Carly, Carley and it's so gorgeous </3 I like the way you've spelled it, because it's unique and original. Nice name

  • It's pretty cute and it's nice to honor your parents like that. When she grows up she'll have a name that matters rather than being named after some character from Twilight. Who cares what anyone else thinks anyway? I know a girl who is 28 and named Fifi. She is a second year law student and people take her seriously. So for people who think Carlee wouldn't be taken seriously, it really just depends on the person.

Not really, because it sounds more like a nickname to me, and I have bad personal connotations --- all the Carly's I have know weren't great girls... but if you like it and want to use it, that's your perogative.

However, I would spell it Carly or Carley. Carlee to me just looks too little girl-ish.

  • It's an okay name, a bit too plain for me, and I do prefer the spelling Carly, but I like how it's a mix of your parents' names. That's a really nice way to honour them.

What is a name? My great niece is named Caroline because that is what her Daddy wanted but my niece wanted Ruby. Today no one will say she should be a Ruby for her name fits her!! It is close to Charlee which has the same root names!

I like the meaning behind it. But I do not like the name. It's one of those names that doesn't age well with a girl. So I hope her middle, if she has one sounds a little more mature and sophisticated.

I think its a cute name. But be careful with the spelling if you spell it differently everyone will spell her name wrong. Also if you look for things with her name written on them you are less apt to find anything. Cute name, cute spelling, just be aware of its possible downfalls.

I would spell it Carleigh/Carly to make it a tad more feminine.
