spinach cook or uncooked?

I am making spinach lasagna I am using fresh spinach and I want to know if I cook it first or put it uncooked in the ricotta cheeses.

Update:

I made my meat and veggie lasagna and they came out good. I love the veggie one better which had mushrooms and spinach thanks.

Coarsely chop the spinach and place into your lasagna uncooked . It will get cooked during the baking . If you precook it , it will loose too much of it's nutritional element .

Uncooked. To avoid people tugging a big spinach leaf out of their mouths :) I chop them before putting a layer of them on the lasagna.

I have always had good luck using uncooked shredded/chopped spinach.

Uncooked and roughly chopped...layer in the leaves with the pasta, cheese, sauce and other stuff you are using.
