I need a cat sitter for a long weekend in June...?

preferably cats only, and preferably on the south side of Indianapolis. I've been using Fussy Felines, but they appear to be out of business (phone "temporarily disconnected"). Her excellent service has spoiled me, and I'm fussy too.

Whether you choose private or public sitter make sure you check their background. Have an emergency plan for your cats best interest. You should have emergency plan regardless. Make sure there is an agreement in writing as to the specifics of money and dates of the sitting to avoid problems later. Also be sure its a safe place and you cat is not in contact with other cats to lower the risk of passing and spreading feline disease. To find a good sitter, call your locals vets office and they should be able to recommend a good source. Try calling multiple reputable vets if needed or call your local humane society. They should be able to direct you to a safe and reliable source whether its a private in home sitter or public kennel. Good luck and I hope this helps

Try asking your vet, and other local pet owners, if they can recommend someone. Do you have neighbors who could help you out? Maybe one of them has a reliable teenager (no that's really not an oxymoron) who would love to pick up a few extra dollars and would take care of them.

Where are you? We found our first catsitter on Craigslist. Our next catsitter we found on Yelp. And our third and most favorite catsitter we found via personal referral from a friend. He is truly the best (and least expensive). Our cat loves Todd. He is here at: http://www.totallyclean.com/whiskers.html
