Why do we close our eyes when we sleep, when we cry, when we imagine, when we kiss?

You amaze me all the time, Your insight to the world and its wonders is great. The mix bag of emotions you talk about is just why I do close my eyes. I see better when they are closed. We don't close our eyes in all of those things. I often kiss with my eyes open, when crying its optional and I can daydream with my eyes open quite happily.

The only one which actually has to happen is closing your eyes to sleep. This is just logical, reducing the visual input to the brain so it can relax, and resting your eyes as well.

I think your 15 question marks indicates your confusion. For you must know the reason for closing eyes in sleep is to rest them. The other three reasons you give are not valid.

these are the moments when we want uninterrupted time, that's why eyes shut by themselves to block all the light and visual and minimizes stimulation in our brain, lets us relax and concentrate only that particular thing and enjoy to the most.

because we have better imaginations when our eyes are close for certain things. he feel pain.,love or anything better when we dnt see or already knw wat goin to happen...u cant close ur eyes for every because then u will miss out..
