is the wasr 10 ak47 good?

I dont know about the wasr 10, but im sure the wasr AES10b is great. Not a cheap ak anymore though. The Hungarian amd rifles are great also, and the amd 65 compares in price with the wasr 10 depending where you look. Basically the same as a standard ak with the exception of a few parts, but still takes standard mags.

it works, its an AK47, and its cheap. accurate is so-so though. don't expect anything under 4" groups with a wasr-10 (at 100 yards)

unreliability is generally caused by the trigger group, most Wasr AK rifles are imported by CAI, who converts it to 922r compliance wit ha new trigger part. alot of the time they don't assemble the gun right leading to problems on your end. its a quick and simple repair that can be done under 30 minutes with a few basic tools.

before buying make sure it doesn't have a canted sight, there's no damage within the bore or any other part, if possible inspect the trigger group to make sure its properly assembled. The fix isn't that hard but I think you'd rather not buy one that's improperly assembled.

typically wasr-10s low caps area round $350, hi cap are around $400. a low cap one accepts only a 10rd single stack magazine.

California legal ones are available if you live in CA. it is around $550 to as much as $900.

Here we go again. You're trying SO hard to get rid of this Sig. Right now, with the situation being as it is, it MIGHT be a good trade because WASR's and pretty much all other AK's are pretty expensive right now. On the other hand, in six months to a year...if you get more use out of that AK than you did the Sig, then it probably will still be a good trade, even though the Sig is significantly monetarily more expensive. It's your gun; it's your money. Do as you will.

The ones with a triangle (sometimes an arrow within a triangle) on the receiver are presumably of higher quality... These have the Tapco trigger group and snug fitting mags. The front post may be canted a little bit, but you can correct that with basic tools.

My friend just got one and has put a few hundred rounds through it with no problems. They are pretty common at my range. I've never seen anyone complain.

It is often said that WASR stands for What A $hitty Rifle. It is cheap, but not reliable.

It will work. It's the cheapest version out there and demands inspection before buying.
