Does yahoo answers render a person's sarcasm detector useless?

thats the beauty of answers. they think its serious and have butt sticks. i on the other hand am just plain funny

just cuz i have an orange badge doesnt make me a leader. and my bad i forgot how serious this site is and that life and death is solved all day long here. whooops

You mean people on here have sarcasm detectors? I thought everyone was dead serious.

I expect just about anything online does that. So much of effective sarcasm is in the tone and often in the expressions. That doesn't translate very well in type.

some TC's on here seem to set such a good example of senseless sarcastic, nearly sadistic answers ,I'd be surprised if they can discern the difference between honesty and cruelty. Perhaps if a better example was set by our *leaders* things would change for the better.
