Tragus vs. Madison(using a dermal)?
Okay, so I've got the body-mod itch, and I don't have the money atm for a new tatt. I am thinking about getting a tragus or a madison, via dermal anchor. the studio that I've gotten both my nose piercing and tattoo charges a flat rate for the piercing, but I'm not too sure about the dermal prices. anyway, about how much does each piece hurt? like I said, I've got my left nostril done, and a fairly large piece on my right shoulder blade; I'd say I have a very high tolerance to pain. so on a scale of the prick with a needle to a 'wtf just got me' does each hurt?
the tragus would be a simple needle, the madison would be the microdermal. I've heard a lot about migration, and if I'm putting out the money for it, I'd like to have it for a while

I assume microdemals when you say dermal, yes?
Make sure they do them, and are good at them first. See HEALED photos.. They'll be more expensive than piercings. Punch or needle method is fine (mine were all punch, which was actually the least painful part :D)
Anyway, they'll probably hurt much the same as each other
I found it somewhere between having a piercing and a tattoo. Its slower than a piercing, and either hurt less or I got used to the pain as it increased, I'm not sure.
Personally I'd go for the madison. But thats just me.
My friend has a tragus micro. Tricky, but doable (even if it is a little forward)
And I have one just below a madison (just about sternum). I don't see why you couldn't have a madison micro? Its easy to grab. You aren't gonna puncture anything, unless they're stabbing around randomly. Micros arent at all deep anyway.

You can't use a dermal anchor for those types of piercings. I have three and have researched it with my tattoo artist, who is also a good friend of mine. You can only use a dermal anchor as a piece where you can grab the skin. To do the dermal anchor the artist grabs the skin, and makes two pockets under the skin using a 10G needle. The needle has to be able to enter the skin about 1/2 inch to an inch under the skin each way. If you really want to get a dermal anchor they are one of the most painful piercings to get because each piercing takes about one minute a piece. I have my chest pierced along with my hips. The chest didn't hurt as bad as my hips, but they will bleed and they will bruise. The madison hurts a lot less than the tragus, but you can't get them done via dermal anchor. Hope this helped!

I wouldn't do a dermal in either of those area's.Madison's are dangerous and if they hit a vein or nerve your paralyzed.I have 3 on my chest and one on my cheekbone. One of the ones on my chest was a bit sore but the rest were pretty mild.Just make sure you have a very good piercer.
