How do I know if the guy I've been with for years is dead?

Question

He usually calls me every night after he gets home on the weekends (when he's going out, we're long distance). Last night he called me while he was still out (4 o clock my time, 1 o clock his time), but then I never got a call when he got home. It's probably nothing, but I'm hoping that he made it home safely. How do I find out? I don't want to call his parents because that will sound a bit hysterical, and I know that if they had been notified of anything, they would have told me. I could try calling the police station but in my experience they never know anything (this has happened before and they just told me to call every single hospital in san Francisco, where he lives)

Oh, and to the little **** la12gh, he CHOOSES to call me every night when he gets home, I don't make him do it. That's the reason I'm worried. And I actually do have OCD and it makes life quite difficult at times, so feel free to shove it where the sun don't shine.

I know exactly how you feel because I used to get that upset too. He probably didn't call because he assumed you were in bed and didn't want to bother you. Try to relax and find something fun to do for yourself today, and I bet anything he will call by the time the day is over.

Chill. He's probably just tired from partying or whatever he's been doing & didn't have the chance to call you. If you don't hear from him about a day or two later, then I'd call his parents & see what is up. 

It's sweet that you are this worried about him, though.

Give it a few more days. If you ring his parents now, he may think you are a clingy person or something. If he hasn't called in a few days then yes, call his parents. Just tell them you are a friend and is he home? If anything has happened, they will tell you.

I guess you do have to go the hospital route. It is worrying when there is a normal routine that gets varied.

wow...talk about obsessive compulsive; you make your man call you every step he takes??no wonder he didn't call you. i wouldnt expect my man to call me...and hes probly not dead...just with someone else haaaaa
