I take in abused animals, my girlfriend gets annoyed at it sometimes, but I can't help it. She gets over it and helps me with them. So, he can do the same. Animals aren't people, it's not like they can just take care of themselves. Of course, that's just my opinion.

Well, you have a few options. You can take it to a shelter, or keep it at your house for just a few days if you think a friend or someone else might want it. If you're worried about it being put down at your local shelter, you can take it home just until you have a day off work or something and drive it to the nearest no-kill shelter, where they will take it in and find a good home for the kitty. Good luck!

Number one, make sure the kitten is taken care of, even if you have to bring it home for a breif period of time. People are always looking for cats, shouldn't be a problem to find a home for.
Make sure you rescue the cat. If your husband throws a fit that you care that an animal lives humanely, something is wrong with him.

Call a shelter! Maybe like the ASPCA... If you have to, lie to your kids, tell them it needs special care you can't provide, that it's sick or something, and that the shelter will make it better to shut them up. It'll probably be better if they think that rather than think it was put to sleep because three months went by and no one adopted it.
