Well, if you're due for your period now and you tested 1-1/2 weeks ago, then almost any test you could have taken would have indicated that you weren't pregnant. Now that it's time for your period, if in fact you are pregnant, almost any pregnancy test will indicate you are.
For the record, DG doesn't make their own tests. They buy them from Inverness Medical, a reputable maker of pregnancy tests who sells their kits to many national drugstore chains nationwide as store brands.

Either AM or PM urine should work if you are late. Each pregnancy test has one thing in common. The detect HCG. The difference is that some can detect it earlier. If the box says 5 days before your period it probably has a low sensitivity which is good. If you get a negative result and your period is still MIA, ask your dr to order a blood test. The tests I use or .99 each online and I was able to find out I was preg 10dpo. Just because they are cheap doesnt mean they are bad.

Honestly it doesn't matter when you test as long as you wait about 4 hours. My test was a dollar general buy and it gave me a faint pink line 4 weeks along. My husband didn't believe me so we went out and got the more expensive brand and still pregnant. And a negative test early on doesn't mean an official negative. Sometimes it takes till week 6 to really know. Baby dust!

I found out I was pregnant by the dollar general single pack test. Yea it was a doller test but gave me an accurate answer. They are just as good and some sites think they are better. I went to the doctor a day later and confirm it.

I don't think that at home pregnancy test are reliable. When I first got pregnant, I bought a store brand pregnancy test and it didn't do anything. I then went to wal-mart and bought the clear blue, EPT, you know the expensive ones and they all came out negative. 9 weeks later I find out that I am after all pregnant. So if you really want to know and want a for sure answer go to your doctor, health clinic or something and get blood test...that for sure will tell you and you'll be 100 % sure.

If you are due for your period now then I think the test will be very reliable. If you were due 3 to 5 days from now I would said wait or buy a Clear Blue Digital test. Good luck!!

I found out I was pregnant with my son from a Dollar General test. They work just fine. Also, I would test in the morning. The urine is most concentrated then. Good luck!

Wish you the best of luck!! *baby dust*

one of my friends thinks they are more reliable than the name brand kind. she got her BFP 2 or 3 days before the other ones.
