you guys have always helped me in the past and I feel so stupid. I have a cabinet in the kitchen that is not?
real wood. Not sure what type of wood it is if it even is wood. Anyway, it fell off because the holes are just too big for the screws to fit into it. I took the door off, and I tried to fill the holes with wood filler, but the holes are so deep that it just did not work, so can someone tell me what I need to do to patch up the holes so I can put the door to the cabinet back on? Thank you!

Also you could put some wood glue in the holes and get a dowel a little larger than the hole tap the dowel in the hole let it dry snip it off and sand the dowel down and that should hold.

Drive a pointed piece of wood in the holes. To do it right whittle down the wood to a point that will fit in the hole. Get some carpenters glue and dip the wood in the glue and pound the wood in the hole. Cut the wood even with cabinet. Let this set up for a couple of hours and your good to go. Now you can screw the door back on. Regards, Dale

First get some toothpicks or a paint stick. Then get a sharp knife(utility knife) and shave little pieces off that are small enough to stuff in the holes. Get some wood glue or gorilla glue and push some into the hole. Then stuff your wood shavings in to the hole as tightly as you can. Let is set up overnight and in the morning your screws will hold in the holes. Believe me, it works. Ive done it many times.
