Shaving irritation...what is causing it?
I have always used cheap, disposable Gillette razors. Never had any problem, but I thought I could get a closer shave with a better razor. I went to a shop and they sold me a bunch of fancy stuff, razor, cream, pre-shave oil, after shave cream, etc. I wasn't convinced so they offered to give me a free shave by a professional. Smoothest, closest shave I ever had.
The next day, I got a huge patch of bumps and irritation on my cheek. Does anyone know what might have caused it? Was it the shave being too close (razor?) The shaving cream? One of the oild she put on (there were two, one was after shave, one was something else, can't remember). She also used a hot towel on my face.
I am asking because I would like to use a beter razor and get a closer shave, but don't want the bumps/irritation. If it was the after shave and oils she used that caused it, I can still get a razor and just not use the oils. Any insights? Thanks!

that happens to pubic area too. it's just when you shave it wrong. it has nothign to do with your disposable razor.
