what do you think of teens getting tattoos?

It is rediculous for teens to get tattoos. I own a tattoo shop and every week there are people coming in with some stupid tattoo they got when they are way too young and now need it covered up. Most the time they are coverable but not everytime...

Well it's not allowed for kids that young to get tattoos, and unsafe because of the way they have to get them.

I was thinking about getting one when I was 18 and I'm glad I didn't.

I love tattoos, but I want something that I know I will love forever. Plus I'm a completely different person when I was 18, and glad I'm waiting a few more years if I ever get one.

I'm 20 now but if I get one it'll be probably when I'm 23-25ish.

I got my first tattoo when I was 15 so I obviously don't have a problem with it. I hate when people have stupid tattoos all my tattoos have meanings.

I have fate tattooed on the inside of my left wrist, Brian on the inside of my lip, I had another name but it faded away after a few years. I have L.A. On my thumbs, a J on my ankel, a peacock feather on my side, and 'beating my many addictions one day at a time' on the sides of my fingers. They all have meaning and I wouldn't change any of them. I'm done for a very long time though.

Ok 13 is crazy! WAAY too young. In most states you have to be 18. With parental consent like 16. At least where I live. I'm 18, I have a tiny tattoo on my wrist. I never really wanted one but i got it to symbolize someone whom I love and always will. I love that I got it and smile every time I see it.

If you don't want a tattoo, don't get one. But don't look down on someone who has one, most people get one to symbolize someone or something and i personally think it gives people individuality.

well, considering there's a such thing as getting a tattoo removed, it's not really forever. and if it's something you stand by, what's wrong with keeping it forever? i think tattoo's are a form of expression. you can get it in a place where you can cover it up easily. i'm 16 and i have one on my hip so smd :)

i think teens should wait until at least 18 or 20 something until they get a tattoo! if i were to get one i would probably get something small and hidden, near my hip or something.

i think teens getting tattoos is perfectly fine. even if it doesnt really mean anything, because i can respect someone getting a tattoo for their dead parent, or just because they want a beautiful work of art on them. im 15 and have a tattoo on my pec, on the top of my right wrist, and a half sleeve on my right bicep / shoulder. yeah, i get judged but it doesnt matter because its my body and each one i got means something significant to me.

yes i would put a bumper sticker on a bentley because if i could afford a bentley, i could afford a new bumper for the bentley if i ever decided i didnt like the sticker anymore.

ive seen an 11 year old with a tattoo. i dont like kids that young getting them but if you are old enough to realize and understand that its permanent, it will hurt a tad, and that you have to wear it the rest of your life, then i think they should be able to make that desicion on if they want one or not.

I think you shouldn't get them on a whim. I think tattoos should be creative and really be artsy and done well and put in reasonable places.

They have actual meaning, thank you very much.

it will limit them when they get older because some jobs dont want you to have tattoos. thats their choice i see no point in it though cause 3 years later when they are 16 or something they might not like it!
