I see. The 2012 people have switched gears from "there's a killer solar flare coming" and "there's a killer planet Nibiru coming" to "You know that global warming stuff? We predicted that. That's what the Mayans were talking about."
Global warming is a long term trend and a terrible thing, but 2012 is not a particularly remarkable year in that long term trend. The attempts to connect it with the 2012 hoaxes are merely a desperate attempt by the hoaxers to say something that will turn out to be true. So if they say "mean global temperatures are increasing" that is a true statement. But not a statement about 2012.
I think I've also heard "You know that earthquake in Chile? We predicted that. That's what the Mayans were talking about."
And "You know that BP oil spill? We predicted that. That's what the Mayans were talking about."
Just standard procedure from people who want to claim predictive powers. Take something that already happened and claim you predicted it and the fact that it happened proves your powers.
By the way, I predict in the coming year that the stock market will rise on some days and will fall on some days.

2012 is said to be the end of the world and there is a possibility that it will happen, not because of the global worming, but because the explosion on the sun. There are major explosions happening on regular bases (i cant remember how many years apart). Most of them are directed at the empty space not having any impact on Earth but ever so often the Earth is positioned directly in front of the explosion and that is why it would be affected. It happened in the past the explosion was so big that it was seen in Italy. Next big one with the Earth positioned in front of it is said to happen in Dec 2012.

The sun is awake (a natural cycle) It has already consumed about 45% of its hydrogen fuel & on its mid-life, about 4.7 billion years old spurting solar flares (cme) coronal mass ejections that reaches the earth as aurora borealis in the north or australis in the south.End of life on earth begins when the sun becomes a red giant engulfing earth in the next 5G.

Haven'y you heard? Over the years, the sun keeps getting closer to earth. Also, GLOBAL WARMING! go search it up. of course, if the layers are getting thinner (which protects us), then more of the sun's heat would enter earth.

if you are that interested in science, how about u look up historical records for those areas and see what trends are really devloping. Often, anecdotal evidence is very unreliable
