anyone tried the 100 round drum they offer for the ar15? costs less than the c-mag, but is it worth it?
10 minutes late. . Wanted to know if the danged thing worked.People ask me, gotta have something to tell them.Seem to be local "gun guru" , just trying to get some input here. Tell them for the money, buy 20 or 30 round mags, but...somebody gotta have it.

You can obtain the "cook off" condition using the 20 and 30 round mags, so the added weight, cost, and time in loading the drum would seem to be a waste. Being more accurate and shooting less rounds to hit what your aiming at would be a better method I would think. Don't ruin a good weapon by smoking the barrel for fun. Just my opinion mind you.

I wouldn't bother.
The super high cap mags for AR's is a great way to show that you're a momma's boy armchair commando. They are heavy, cumbersome and expensive, but hey, if you get money to burn... go for it.
