What cat toys are we missing? Any suggestions? See list please!?

We work long hours and the cats (all 6 of them) get pretty bored sometimes. I check on them during my lunch hour, but they need more to do. I need some new suggestions as to what we might be overlooking that they can play with on their own and with us when we get home. Anything to enrich their environment.

We have:

catnip mice, catnip balls, loofah mice, teaser wands with feathers, peek-a-prize toy box, cheese mountain motorized motion toy, 3 cat trees all in front of windows, various jingle balls, fuzzy balls to toss, flinga-ma-string motorized cat toy, da bird wands, then this little mouse in a wheel thing that I can remember what it is.

Give them a box big enough for them to go inside it they'll be entertained for hours.

Cats are independent and can cope with you being gone for hours or days at a time, although sometimes they won't be happy about it. I have bought my cat so many different toys. However the most successful toy has been the ring that comes off under a milk cap. He will play with it for HOURS!!!

A very cheap but fun toy may cat just LOVES are pipecleaners. You get like 50 for $1 and can be bought at any arts and crafts store/section. What you do is, you take the straight pipe cleaner and bend it into a flat shape about an 1-2 in. Diameter. (like a pretzel) My cat loves them and even plays fetch with them.

I am a stay at home mom, and my cats are always used to me being there.. so when i have something that takes me out of the house for a few hours, i have one who becomes destructive!! I have found that when i leave, if i give the cat an old magazine to tear up while im gone, he stays away from my blinds, my plants and my curtains! lol.. As long as your cats arent destroying anything while your gone, chances are they probably sleep and save up their energy for when you are there playing with them! =)
